The City Palace of Jaipur

The imposing fusion of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art and architecture, the City Palace is a must-see destination of Jaipur. It houses lush green gardens, elegant courtyards, arresting palaces and a beautiful temple. The interiors of the palace are decorated with glittering mirror work and fascinating paintings.

Jantar Mantar

Located near the gate of the City Palace, Jantar Mantar is an amazing and the largest stone observatory in the world. Constructed in 1716 by the erstwhile ruler Sawai Jai Singh, Jantar Mantar was built to measure altitude, time, movement of the stars and planets and other astronomical events. There are seventeen instruments within the boundary of Jantar Mantar.

Hawa Mahal

The lovely creation of the Rajputs of Rajasthan, Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a wonderful establishment. This airy palace of Jaipur overlooks the bustling bazaars. This Mahal was especially built to allow the royal ladies to enjoy the sights of the streets. The Mahal has 953 windows adorned with lattice work through which the queens would see the various processions held on the streets.

Amber Fort

The famous landmark of Jaipur, Amber Fort was built by maharajah Man Singh in 1952 on a hill overlooking the beautiful lake Maota, and displays a fabulous combination of traditional Rajput and Mugh
